What is Career & Technical Education?

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide students with a foundation for a wide range of careers that reflect the contemporary workplace and promote life-long learning in a global society.  Students participate in quality work-based learning programs and have opportunities to better understand behaviors necessary for career success through CTE.  Wisconsin students are provided opportunities to take Career & Technical Education courses in the following areas that focus on academic, technical and employability skills needed in the workplace:
